Wesak Day 2010

I was rather late for the float procession and wasn't expecting it to start so early. Well, the night has just began to get dark and i thought normally processions would not start till its really pitch dark in the night; apparently i was wrong. Ah well, i do managed to get some photos of the event anyway.

The procession was on Saturday, the day after Wesak Day. There were at least 10 different float cars all lined up along the roads and the road traffic has to be controlled. A big crowd would be following the float procession for symbolic and religious purposes such as good luck or purification. So here's what i managed to snap.

Well, that's all that I've managed to snap. It rained halfway through the procession but i did not stay long enough to find out; I've only heard from some of my friends later. I wonder what happened to the crowd though...

Paintball 2 - The Hostelian Strikes Back

Last Friday-26/3, Paintball 2 was successfully organized @ Permatang Tinggi with the Hostelians against the Pekakans. The match was between 4 Hostelians and 5 Pekakans and the results is a draw with 3 wins each.

Last match bear witness to "The Rise of Pekakans" with score of 4-2 against Pekakans and there were 11 playes each on the team back then. However, the numbers of people reduces to 9 only this time and the Hostelians managed to rival the Pekakans and score themselves a draw against the mighty Pekakans. Thus this time, it can be said, it is "The Hostelian Strikes Back!"

The game was fun and not many player were bruised. It took 3 hours for the game to end when all bullets have ran out. Overall, it was an enjoyable game and it is a good activity for us 4th yr Civils before we graduate and walk different path of life.

Fallen

Well, we did dined in hell after all. After a ferocious battle (in which i did not even take part), we lose both battle though the scores for both sides are close enough. Nevertheless, it was 2 good match.

I on d other hand might just take the monday battle against 3rd yr and staff/postgrad, if my leg is still nt in pain. Till then, more practise! Gambateh~!

Today We go to WARRRRRRRR!

Well, honestly speaking, it's war only for me but not for most others. I have chosen not to pick between basketball and FYP but both, as mentioned in my last post. The thing is, i wanted to try multitasking and hopefully i can fare well in both.

Anyway, today we 4th yrs are having 2 matches and i'm anxious now to get myself ready for the game. But it seems like raining again like yesterday (which is the reason why BB STAM for us was delayed). Well, now then, i'm gonna get myself into bb mood and just wait patiently for the game. For fyp, well, lets just say its headache to even think about it... xD.

Upcoming BB match; STAM!

March 8th, Monday - By now, most 4th year students are fully occupied with their final year project as the dateline for final drafting is by 12th march. Unfortunately for most of us, Sukan Tahunan Awam or STAM also falls on this week itself and the basketball match is from 11 till 13 March, which is very inconvenient as no one will be able to do full time training for the match.

As for me, I yearn very much to participate in this match as I've never did before, however, there is the issue if I can participate or not as I have not much time left to increase my skill in the game. Well, time is fixed and I have the choice of either doing my FYP or practising for basketball. Both are very important to me and making a choice is like choosing which hand to be chopped away. sigh x.x

Happy Chinese New Year + Happy Valentines 2010!

The long awaited CNY has finally arrived and its not just CNY; this year, Valentines day falls on the same day too! It's not like every year that we can celebrate both major festival on the same day and this yr we r in luck! This year, its double happiness for most or... some might worry on which event to be prioritized; on one end, its family, the other its lover. xD

And this year is the year of TIGER; my year - YEAH Baby!!! tiger rulez, ROARRRR!!!

Anyway, this CNY cum Valentines, i get to spend a week's time at home with family and friends. Reunion dinner, steamboat, BBQ... bwahaha! CNY eve + CNY day 1 has juz passed and dat means 6 more days! Going to hangout with friends probably most of the time. More $$$ flowing out of my wallet, sigh.

... and not to mention works needed to be done before sem resumes... sigh.

Anyway, went to 1Utama today juz to get some stuffs and was surprised that many chinese were in the mall. Back in the old times, there will be almost none in shopping mall since most of them will be back to Kampung, and of course shopping mall weren't even open in the older days on CNY day. Hmnn... change of trend i suppose. Window shopped, and nothing much... juz wanted to try the honey orange Frappuchino at Starbucks... xD.

Speaking of food, have been steadily gaining fat... coz have been munching on tidbits while watching TV. :P  What a great combination to gain mass. Hopefully won't be too fat before sem reopens.

Anyway, its great to be home, and no where is as relaxin as being home. Right now, am gonna sleep already coz BBQ can be so tiring. Am anticipating angpau 's ...hehehe

New Year 2010

The first event of this year for me would be New Year countdown cum celebration for me @ Queensbay. Woohoo! I was in luck since some of my friends decided to celebrate the start of the year outdoor instead of sitting in  their hostel room. And since i couldn't go home, i've decided to take the opportunity to celebrate it with them.

We went at around 6 and since it is T minus 6 to countdown, we went lepak + SHOPPING! Oopss.. sorry la gurls, it isn't your TM to shop...xD
