A day out @ Sg. wang

Following the demise of my handphone charger earlier this morning, i went to Low Yat for a replacement via the lrt & monorail train. I had called earlier and the vendor has asked me to come for a replacement since it is within one month of purchase. I was in dilemma in between choosing to buy a cheap charger nearby or take the train down for a free replacement but the train fare would have even out the cost for a new charger and in the end, i've chosen to go back to Low Yat.

Alas, i was disappointed upon arrival as the vendor told me that i needed to go to the warranty factory for a replacement. WTH man, i was told otherwise on the phone and he say he only just found out that i can get a replacement somewhere else when i took the train all the way to Low Yat! Arguing with him will definitely get me nowhere, so i decided to leave the charger with him so that he can help send it for a replacement and i can collect it on the next trip here. Still... bloody ignorant fella..

Since i was already there for nothing, i decided to walk around Sg. Wang which is just behind Low Yat building. There was nothing much to see except some interesting shops that sells adult toys which i counted at least 3 shops. Nothing much needed, so i just briefly explored and continued my explorations.

Of course there were many boutiques selling girls clothes and some new shops which i have never see before since last visit (aeons ago) sells dresses only for 25 ringgit. Quite nice, but i have no use for it...

Then it was time to feed my tummy~ yeah, definitely the best part of the trip. I found pasta mania which i thought was only available @ Gurney plaza, Penang and since i was already there and my friend (fei chai) highly recommends it, i decided to give it a try. I ordered Carbonara (spaghetti) and a coke.

Well, the pasta is well cooked and the cream base is indeed very creamy, love it.... but... there isn't enough taste of herbs and it wasn't salty enough. The bacon on the other hand was overly salty. Maybe when eaten together the taste would be just right but i find the taste not really appealing. The pasta is steaming hot and burns my mouth nicely... haha.

Maybe that's why the restaurant is almost empty...

Maybe the Penang one is nicer... maybe...

Hmmm, there were pizzas, lasagnia and sets too but i was just wanting to taste how good is the spaghetti is. Conclusion? erm... not as nice as what i had in mind when being recommended. xD

After the meal, it was time to head back home. I managed to stop by a few shops and found few series of Japanese movies which i have been looking for - The Jikembo of Kindaichi but it was very expensive and not worth buying so i decided to leave it for consideration next time.

The trip back was uneventful except being squashed in the monorail like a bug. So that's most of my day trip out.

Anyway, Happy Chap Goh Mei!

P/S: am hearing fireworks and wishing i am back @ usm so that i can celebrate it there with those that are close to me. ^^
